About Yuriko-San

Hi from Japan!

I’m Yuriko from Hiroshima. I was born in Osaka and grew up in several places in Japan. I have also lived in Brisbane (Australia), Singapore, and Pennsylvania (US) for about 15 years in total.

After working as a reporter and editor for a tourism industry business magazine, I’ve worked as a freelance writer and translator for over 20 years. My major areas are travel and tourism. I also have an MA in Environmental Sociology, with a specialty in preservation of historical sites.

I love traveling, morning walks, and office supplies. I love listening to the sound of rain while eating dark chocolates with a nice cup of coffee (yes, I’m a chocoholic!). I’m into eating, looking at, and researching Japanese traditional sweets.
